Calvin A. Spellmon, Jr, MD has joined Lemak Health practicing primary care sports medicine in the Lemak Chelsea location.

Spellmon is board certified in Pediatrics and Primary Care Sports Medicine, and was Fellowship trained in Primary Care Sports Medicine at t Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics in Memphis.

Prior to attending medical school, he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Dillard University in New Orleans before completing his Post Baccalaureate research program at Meharry Medical College in Nashville. He continued medical school at Meharry Medical College and completed his Pediatric Residency at the University of New Mexico.

Spellmon will serve as the team physician for Chelsea High and Middle School, Vincent High School and Middle School ,and Miles College. He specializes in fracture care, concussion management, acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, pediatric sports injuries, ultrasound-guided injections, regenerative medicine services such as platelet rich plasma therapy, and tenex procedure for severe tendonitis.
